Immediate Task of the Indian Working Class Today is to Overthrow the Neofascist Modi Government – P J James
Bhubaneswar, 28/01. The delegate session of 10th All India Conference of Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI) was inaugurated by Com. P J James, General Secretary of CPI (ML) Red Star in a fully packed audience of delegates from over 15 states and fraternal delegates from various revolutionary parties and trade unions in India and outside. The two days delegate conference started at 11 AM at Lohiya Academy, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 28th January, which will conclude on 29th January evening.
In his speech, while explaining the ideological, political and organisational challenges faced by the working class at the global level today, James specifically pointed out how the caste-ridden Indian society works as the biggest obstruction for uniting the Indian working class, majority of whom depends on the unorganised sectors, where they are subjected to super-exploitation and denied even the minimum wages needed for sustenance. While working class have to carry forward its task of overcoming pro-corporate policies of Modi regime such as superimposition of 3 Labour Codes that replaced all the existing 44 labour laws, James emphasised the united offensive on the part of more than 60 cores of Indian workforces to defeat the Neofascist regime of BJP Govt. as the immediate task of the present situation.

Comrade Alexander Schnieder from MLPD, Germany, Comrade Binod Kumar Tapa from ANRTUF, Nepal, Com T Sreenivas, General Secretary of IFTU, Com Balan, Trade Union leader from Bangalore, Comrade Tuhin, Central Coordinator of Caste Annihilation Movement, Comrade Saura, Central Coordinator of Adivasi Maha Sabha, Comrade Tuna, Central Committee member of AIKKS, comrade Anju, Central Committee member of AIRWO, Comrade Niranjan, Central Coordinator of AIRSO, Comrade Bichitra, TUCI. Com Kabeer, Dy Main Coordinator of ICOR, read out message of greetings to the 10th National Conference of TUCI from 19 revolutionary parties and workers unions from various part of the world, including Australia, Kenya, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iran, South Africa, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan etc.
Comrade R Manasayya presented the draft updated Program of TUCI for discussion and adaptation by the delegate house in the afternoon session. The discussion among the delegates of the presented program will continue on 29th morning.
In the evening, at 5 PM, a seminar on ‘Task of Working Class in the Present Neofascist context’ was held. Com Sankar, Polit Bureau member of CPI (ML) Red Star presented the keynote speech. Com. Alexander (Automobile Workers Union, Germany), Com Iswar (ANRTUF, Nepal), Com Parvati (TUCI, Odisha), Com Biswapriya Kanungo (Advocate, Odisha) etc participated in the seminar moderated by Com Ameer Ali (TUCI leader).
