Subject: Need of suo moto action against sending Indian workers to Israel, the dangerous warfield of West Asia

Sir,

Under the direction of Central Government officially and unofficially, the National Skill Development Authority of India and Israel Builders Association, a recruiting agency is recruiting construction, building, ceramics tiles workers from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha to Israel which is the genocide hub of Palestinian people by the zionist Israel and after evacuating more than 80000 Palestinian workers from the Gaza strip and West Bank.

According to the existing Indian Labour Law and situation of Palestine, the Israel -Indian joint workers’ recruitment is totally illegal and anti-national and against humanity. Due to severe unemployment and under employment, the crores and crores of youths from India are ready to migrate to Israel/Palestine for their roti and livelyhood. The central government led by RSS, BJP especially Prime Minister Mr. Modi declared their support the export of Indian workers to Israel. This is totally against the Constitution of India and existing moral values and practice.

In India the population of inter-state migrant workers are more than the total population of America.

Based on a study in 2011 there are 6 crore migrant workers and in 2019 studies 45 crores. That means 30% of Indian population are migrant workers in India? In that case, 30% of Indian population is involved in the industry- regular migrant work in India. Migration means a person who moves from one place to another, especially to find out some work for a better living condition. But these Indian migrant workers are not getting the existing minimum wages, statutory social security benefits based on Indian Labour Law. It means that the central and state governments are not protecting legal rights of Indian migrant working class. Therefore sending construction workers from India to Israel is an unfair activity by the central government.

The Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI) Central committee totally oppose this anti-national, anti-working class labour exportation by Israel Builders Association and National Development Authority of India. The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act 1979 and Contract Labour (Abolition and Regulation) Act 1970 are not applicable to labour exportation. That is why Trade Union Centre of India Central committee publishes this letter in public domain seeking your suo moto action against International illegal labour export.

Thanking you,

Sabi Joseph
